A complete refurbishment of a victorian apartment in the heart of Chelsea was also an opportunity to completely reconfigure its internal space after years of neglect. For the nearly 120 sq mt apartment we createed an open plan comprising the hole living area, reducing the clusters as much as possible. We also reogranised the sleeping space in a more contemporary way by introducing ensuite bathrooms and walk-in closets for two larger bedrooms.

To free up the space of the living room, the former entrance hallway was replaced with a wall to wall joinery, integrating the entrance doors with storage cabinets. The back part of the kitchen is inserted within the joiney wall while a large kitchen island sits in front of it. Other bespoke joinery elements composed the two large walk-in closets and the bathroom vanities.

Travertino Navona and light smoked oak wood composed a neutral and elegant colour palette with touches of brushed brass, smoked glass and greige lacquered wood.

Natural light permeates the all ambients of the house and is particularly effective in the open plan of the living room. Architectural light with a soft and warm tone enhances textures and materials, while decorative light enhances and punctuates certain areas.

In addition to procuring the interior design we worked closely with the structural and acoustic engineers, obtained the license to alter, the building regulations approvals and monitored the construction works.
